October 16, 2024. Cary, NC -- United Way of North Carolina is thrilled to be a recipient of a $75,000 grant to the NC Disaster Relief Fund from ExxonMobil. This is a fund operated by the NC Governor's Office and United Way of North Carolina. 100% of donations go to local nonprofits who apply for the funds.

Rising above the storm: Community heroes unite after hurricanes Helene and Milton
- Funding for disaster relief grants to help Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, ExxonMobil provided critical support to the affected communities and partners. These storms have caused significant damage across Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Hundreds of Exxon and Mobil service stations across the Southeast region were impacted. As a key presence in these areas, we’re committed to helping with recovery efforts.
ExxonMobil contributed $300,000 in disaster relief grants across the three states to support rebuilding. We provided $150,000 to the Volunteer Florida Foundation’s Disaster Fund, $75,000 to the United Way of North Carolina and $75,000 to the United Way of East Tennessee Highlands.
These grants reflect our commitment to supporting our communities and partners as they recover from these devastating storms.
