October 14, 2024. Cary, NC -- United Way of North Carolina is overjoyed to announce The Big Lots Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to the UW Helps NC Helene Recovery Fund!
This generous gift will be put to great use in building up our communities that were affected by Hurricane Helene. 100% of donations to the UW Helps NC Helene Recovery Fund are dispersed to local United Ways and counties of the donors' choice. From there, the funds will be used to provide supplies, rebuilding capabilities, and more for those counties.
