Director of Mission Advancement: United Way of North Carolina

The Director of Mission Advancement is an integral member of the UWNC Leadership Team. The Director of Mission Advancement will develop a mission-aligned revenue and capacity-building strategy for UWNC, inclusive of all areas of work. This position will work with the President and CEO to build and implement a policy agenda at the state level that supports UWNC’s efforts to achieve equitable outcomes for North Carolinians. The right candidate can work in a fast-paced environment and absorb and process much information quickly and will have proven experience in fundraising, and public policy, with a particular focus on collaboration.

Executive Director: Lumber River United Way

The Executive Director of Lumber River United Way is a mission-driven, collaborative, innovative, equity-minded and social impact focused position. This person will serve as the brand ambassador and champion of the United Way in the Bladen, Dillon, Hoke, and Robeson communities, across all stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, business leaders, community members, nonprofit leaders, government, education partners, strategy partners, families served and more. The Executive Director will leverage the power of relationships and networks, working across private, public, and corporate sectors at the state and local level to improve outcomes in the Bladen, Dillon, Hoke, and Robeson communities.

Resource Development Director: High Country United Way

The Resource Development Director for High Country United Way will report to the Executive Director. Key responsibilities surround Helene and regular campaigns. Develop and manage donor-centric fundraising strategies and goals with segmentation to donor groupsAchieve agreed upon fundraising goalsCultivate long-term relationships with individual donors and local businesses/corporationsCoordinate and co-lead annual workplace campaigns with the Executive DirectorEngage and manage volunteers and volunteer awardsSeek sponsorship opportunities and new funding sourcesCollaborate with the Executive Director with marketing and social media efforts for resource developmentParticipate in UWW brand refresh and HCUW brand launch (2025).Regularly report fund development data and activities to United Way staff and board membersAttend area chamber events and agency events as needed.
